What Is a Life Group?

Riverbend Life Groups are small groups (usually 8 to 20 people) who meet periodically in the homes of members. There are a handful of these groups which meet on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. at the church or Sunday evenings at the church.

The purpose of these groups is five-fold:

  • To discuss and begin life-application of the points to a recent sermon perached by Riverbend Senior Pastor Dr. R.A. Hargrave.
  • To pray corporately with those in the group--praying for the church, the families represented in the group and other known needs as deemed appropriate by the leader of the group.
  • To fellowship with one another during the meeting, developing meaningful relationships.
  • To minister to one another in the group as needs develop.
  • To reach out to the community by inviting friends and relatives of group members to attend.
